Directions To Fort Lewis
For all incoming soldiers and their families

Land Travel
I. POV Travel. When traveling by POV, follow Interstate 5 to the Fort Lewis and North Fort Leiws Exit (#120). Take the Fort Lewis off-ramp and proceed through the Main Gate. Follow the signs directing you to Waller Hall, building 2140, this is where you will sign in.

II. Bus Travel. Greyhound and Trailways buses stop at the Fort Lewis Bus Depot, building 2166T. For Information, phone 253-964-2511 monday through friday, 08:00 - 18:00, Saturday, 08:00-15:00. They are closed on Sunday.

III. Taxi Service. Fort Lewis Taxi service is available from the Bus Depot to Waller Hall, building 2140, 24 hours a day. Phone (253) 582-3000

Air Travel
When arriving at SEA-TAC International Airport, you and your family may use the Fort Lewis-McChord shuttle, operated by Bremerton-Kitsap Airporter Inc, to take you from SEA-TAC Airport to Fort Lewis. The bus departs at the north end of the airport at the baggage claim area (near Pan Am Claim Carousel #1).

I. Cost to use the Fort Lewis-McChord shuttle is $11.25 for soldiers/adults, $6.25 for children (2-11 years), and children under 2 ride free. There is a Family Rate and reservations must be made in advance by credit card. Phone 1-800-562-7948

II. The Fort Lewis-McChord shuttle departs daily at 06:16, 08:45, and every 2.5 hours thereafter. The last departure is at 23:45

III. If your flight arrives after 23:45 you can wait at the USO located on the second floor of the airport.
