The Nelson Recreation Center offers an array of ammenities for the community of Fort Lewis to relax and have fun. The center houses a pool room with six Olhausen Pro 8 tables, Areas to play games, Music Rooms with sound proof areas for practicing instruments, a snack bar and a Movie Room with a collection of over 100 movie titles on DVD.

The center also has a Game Room with Playstation games and networked Computer Games, a Ballroom, and a picnic facility located in the back of the building, including picnic tables, a volleyball court and a playground. The picnic facility is available for unit parties, group picnics, and other functions.
